I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
